Chapter 1

Nene Motoe (求衛 ねね Motoe Nene) is a student and the older twin sister of Nono Motoe who is later revealed to be a member of the main cast.

Appearance[]

Nene is a pale-skinned girl who looks completely identical to Nono Motoe with short, curly, strawberry blonde hair that has a braid on the right side, green eyes and a slim build, and legs that are noticeably thicker than most of the female characters.

She is mostly seen wearing her high school uniform.

Their undergarments are also exposed when Cerberus kills them; Nene wears a pair of yellow panties under her skirt, while Nono's panties are orange.

Personality[]

Fake Personality[]

Nene appeared to be a happy, energetic and fun -loving girl, much like Nono's fake personality. She spoke in sync with Nono.

Actual Personality[]

It is later revealed that her former personality was nothing but an act. Nene is a criminal, and ended up with a role in the 'Main Cast' because Fumito Nanahara promised that all the bad things she and her sister had done would be wiped from their record. She treats Saya Kisaragi very rudely and thinks of her as a monster. She also isn't close to her sister at all and was very selfish.

Plot[]

The twins took part in Saya's daily life and appeared to look up to her until she supposedly "died" in episode 6. Nene was killed by the Centipede, and Nono was killed by the Shadow Elder Bairn. In episode 10 it is revealed that both twins are still alive when Saya learns that the books in the archive were fake. Episode 11 shows that Nono, along with her sister, Kanako, Yuuka, Itsuki, and Tokizane, were a part of the "main cast" of the fake town built for the experiment on Saya and that her death was fake. After Tokizane brought the tube of Elder Bairn blood and Kanako explained the truth to Saya, the twins told Saya that they didn't care what happened to her and that they wanted to go back to their normal lives. When an Elder Bairn attacked the group, they ran away to the shrine and met up with Yuuka and Itsuki, who questioned their actions. They blamed it on Kanako by saying she told Saya everything. When Fumito surprises them with his appearance, they try to change the subject by assuming the "show" is over and that they may leave. Fumito agreed, saying if "the actors don't want to act, they shall leave the stage" and had the Cerberus attack them, starting with Tokizane (who had his head crushed when the Cerberus stepped on it). After Fumito told the twins that their talismans were fake, they ran away before the Cerberus went after them. In a desperate attempt to escape, Nene shoved Nono, causing her to fall. As she struggled to get up, the Cerberus lifted her up by the leg and repeatedly smashed her head against the ground before eating her. The Cerberus then grabbed Nene and split her legs apart by her ankles, tearing her in half and then devours her entire body, with his escape attempt resulting in failure.

Relationships[]

Saya Kisaragi[]

They were close friends and they cared about her and spent a lot of time together, in truth though they never actually cared about her and were only pretending to be her friend.

Yūka Amino[]

They along with Yūka were close friends of Saya, the twins often mentioned that she was like a mother as she was always scolding Saya; it is unknown how they acted towards Yūka outside of this "fake" relationship.

Nono Motoe[]

In the beginning, they were thought to be very close, even speaking in unison with her. However, it is later revealed they really weren't that close. When Nene realizes she isn't protected by the charm, she is willing to sacrifice her twin sister to the Cerberus to buy herself some time, resulting in Nono's death.

Etymology[]

  • Nene's surname Motoe means "escort" (求衛).
